Socket is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to drive business growth and revenue by providing technical expertise and solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the sales cycle
  • Understand and articulate the technical features and benefits of Socket's products and services to clients
  • Develop and deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations to clients
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • Work closely with the product team to provide feedback on product features and functionality based on customer needs and feedback
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to represent Socket and network with potential clients

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably in the security industry
  • Strong technical background and understanding of security concepts and technologies, including network security, endpoint security, and cloud security
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

Nice to have

  • Experience with open source software and/or software development
  • Familiarity with Socket's products and services
  • Previous experience working at a fast-growing startup
