Python Client for Pub/Sub Lite API

Pub/Sub Lite API_: is designed to provide reliable, many-to-many, asynchronous messaging between applications. Publisher applications can send messages to a topic and other applications can subscribe to that topic to receive the messages. By decoupling senders and receivers, Google Cloud Pub/Sub allows developers to communicate between independently written applications.

Compared to Google Pub/Sub, Pub/Sub Lite provides partitioned zonal data storage with predefined capacity. Both products present a similar API, but Pub/Sub Lite has more usage caveats.

Quick Start

In order to use this library, you first need to go through the following steps:

1. Select or create a Cloud Platform project._
2. Enable billing for your project._
3. Enable the Pub/Sub Lite API._
4. Setup Authentication._

Installation

Install this library in a `virtualenv`_ using pip. `virtualenv`_ is a tool to
create isolated Python environments. The basic problem it addresses is one of
dependencies and versions, and indirectly permissions.

With `virtualenv`_, it's possible to install this library without needing system
install permissions, and without clashing with the installed system
dependencies.
