Malicious npm Packages Inject SSH Backdoors via Typosquatted Libraries
Socket’s threat research team has detected six malicious npm packages typosquatting popular libraries to insert SSH backdoors.
sslaudit
helps finding weak rsa/dsa keys as they are produced by
corrupt Debian OpenSSL packages. Since this problem may affect other
platforms indirectly, sslaudit
supports Windows and OSX, too.
sslaudit
is heavily inspired by dowkd.pl <http://security.debian.org/project/extra/dowkd/>
_ by Florian Weimer.
Unfortunatly this has a major drawback: it requires a typical
Unix/Linux environment with openssl and ssh installed. sslaudit
aims
for being a self-contained application.
