Why Are There Images In My Terminal

Show images to the (iterm2-wielding) CLI user, right from ruby!

Installation

gem install 'why_are_there_images_in_my_terminal'

Or this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'why_are_there_images_in_my_terminal'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Usage

Standalone:

$> butwhy test.jpg
require 'why_are_there_images_in_my_terminal`

   puts WhyAreThereImagesInMyTerminal.butwhy("test/test.jpg")

Or with an IO object or fancy options:

   WhyAreThereImagesInMyTerminal.butwhy(File.open("test/test.jpg", "rb"))
