Follow-up and Clarification on Recent Malicious Ruby Gems Campaign
A clarification on our recent research investigating 60 malicious Ruby gems.
The library supports both Windows and Linux. See the examples directory and the documentation for more information.
Important:
Usage:
RTSA_DIR
environment variable to the corresponding directory. The default path on Linux is ~/Aaronia/RTSA/Aaronia-RTSA-Suite-PRO
; the default path on Windows is C:\Program Files\Aaronia AG\Aaronia RTSA-Suite PRO
.LD_LIBRARY_PATH
. This is necessary, because Rust does not allow setting an rpath that is picked up by transitive dependencies, i.e., we cannot set the runtime library search path in aaronia-rtsa-sys and have it picked up by all applications that use it as a direct or indirect dependency.FAQs
Unknown package
We found that aaronia-rtsa demonstrated a not healthy version release cadence and project activity because the last version was released a year ago. It has 1 open source maintainer collaborating on the project.
