The core of the Struts framework is a flexible control layer based on standard technologies like Java Servlets, JavaBeans, ResourceBundles, and Extensible Markup Language (XML), as well as various Jakarta Commons packages. Struts encourages application architectures based on the Model 2 approach, a variation of the classic Model-View-Controller (MVC) design paradigm. Struts provides its own Controller component and integrates with other technologies to provide the Model and the View. For the Model, Struts can interact with any standard data access technology, including Enterprise Java Beans, JDBC, and Object Relational Bridge. For the View, Struts works well with JavaServer Pages, including JSTL and JSF, as well as Velocity Templates, XSLT, and other presentation systems. The Struts framework provides the invisible underpinnings every professional web application needs to survive. Struts helps you create an extensible development environment for your application, based on published standards and proven design patterns.

Java Management Extensions (JMX) technology provides the tools for building distributed, Web-based, modular and dynamic solutions for managing and monitoring devices, applications, and service-driven networks. By design, this standard is suitable for adapting legacy systems, implementing new management and monitoring solutions, and plugging into those of the future.

Mbassador is a fast and flexible event bus system following the publish subscribe pattern. It is designed for ease of use and aims to be feature rich and extensible while preserving resource efficiency and performance. It provides non-blocking iterators and minimal write contention with low memory footprint. Some features: declarative handler definition via annotations, sync and/or async event delivery, weak or strong references, configurable event filters,

Sample applications to demonstrate the usage of various TrueZIP module APIs. Some of these samples use rather advanced or exotic features which makes them more complex than necessary for a typical application. By design, the sample applications use all file system drivers which can be located at runtime. Location of the available file system drivers is performed by scanning the class path - see the Javaodoc for the TrueZIP Kernel class de.schlichtherle.truezip.fs.sl.FsDriverLocator for more information.

Electric is an integrated-circuit design system that offers IC layout, schematic editing, and even textual hardware-description languages. It offers a wide range of synthesis and analysis tools for working on the circuitry. It has many importers and exporters for interfacing to other EDA (Electronic Design Automation) systems. It even has a constraint system for managing chip layout. For more information about Electric, see www.staticfreesoft.com

ECJ, A Java-based Evolutionary Computation Research System. ECJ is a research EC system written in Java. It was designed to be highly flexible, with nearly all classes (and all of their settings) dynamically determined at runtime by a user-provided parameter file. All structures in the system are arranged to be easily modifiable. Even so, the system was designed with an eye toward efficiency. ECJ is developed at George Mason University's ECLab Evolutionary Computation Laboratory. The software has nothing to do with its initials' namesake, Evolutionary Computation Journal. ECJ's sister project is MASON, a multi-agent simulation system which dovetails with ECJ nicely.

D-Haven Event is a library designed to make it easier to develop event based processing systems. It also includes a CommandManager to handle certain activities behind the scenes in a controlled number of background threads. The library has been fully tested, and all dependencies have been brought to a minimum.
Samply.Common.MDRFaces is a Java Server Faces library which eases the user interface design of web applications where the respective data model relies on well defined data elements. Especially in case of systems for electronic data capturing, where the necessary data model is not known beforehand and can even vary over time, the user interface has to be easily adjustable. This often means the user instead of the developer designs the various forms for data entry and therefore an easy to use mechanism has to be provided. By using Samply.MDRFaces the developer can focus on the implementation of that mechanism, e.g. some editor component, but does not have to cope with the visualization of every single data element as for that is taken care of automatically.
Redberry is an open source computer algebra system designed for tensor manipulation. It implements basic computer algebra system routines as well as complex tools for real computations in physics. This is Redberry core, which contains the implementation of the basic computer algebra routines and general-purpose transformations.
