Advanced tools
ES5 script to put up a full-page message that IE is not supported.
Used for IE versions 9, 10, and 11.
This script creates a full-page blocker that lets the user know that they need to download a more modern browser instead.
####Angular 2+ Projects: This was written originally for use in Angular 2+ projects. This will stop app logic from executing (in case IE does work partially, just not enough to be supported), though if you have any global styles set it might affect the blocker.
To use, add
import '@atom-platform/es5-ie-blocker';
to your application's polyfills.ts
file. This way it executes before Angular does.
I'm not familiar with the specifics of the other JS frameworks out there, but this should work in a <script>
tag regardless of platform. If there's anything your framework provides that's intended to import files and run them prior to your application logic, you can use it in the same way as the Angular way specified above.
I cannot guarantee it will stop any application logic from executing on non-Angular 2+ framework.
