In order to make this plugin work as expected a few additional IAM Policies might be needed on your AWS profile.
More specifically this plugin needs the following policies attached:
cloudfront:CreateDistribution
cloudfront:GetDistribution
cloudfront:UpdateDistribution
cloudfront:DeleteDistribution
cloudfront:TagResource
