Disclaimer

Please note that this package has only been tested with Vue deployments and has mainly only been used in personal projects.

It should however work for any SPA (JavaScript) project as we are just rendering routes. However, there may be issues with other frameworks and setups.

Install

To start a few dependencies will need to be included.

Pretty much any version of webpack > 4 and webpack-cli > 3 should be fine.

{
    "scripts": {
        "prerender": "node ./node_modules/@websanova/js-prerender/build/prerender",
        "sitemap": "node ./node_modules/@websanova/js-prerender/build/sitemap",
        "rss": "node ./node_modules/@websanova/js-prerender/build/rss"
    },
    "devDependencies": {
        "@websanova/js-prerender": "0.1.0",
        "prerender-spa-plugin": "3.4.0",
        "webpack": "5.15.0",
        "webpack-cli": "4.3.1"
    }
}

Next, setup a config file for each build with an empty module.exports = {};

./rss.config.js
./sitemap.config.js
./prerender.config.js

After that the builds should run.

> npm run rss

> npm run sitemap

> npm run prerender

There are also optional --mode and --config flags available.

> npm run rss -- --mode=local

> npm run sitemap -- --config=/path/to/config.js

> npm run prerender -- --mode=local --config=/path/to/config.js
