Starting on a new project? Getting started with WindUp.app is straightforward! Just follow the documentation at [windup.app](https://windup.app).

## Prerequisites

- Node.js\* (latest LTS version) - [Download](https://nodejs.org/en)

\*If you already have Node.js installed, check the current version is within the [supported versions](https://windup.app/node):

## Installation

Open a terminal, or from [Visual Studio Code](https://code.visualstudio.com) , open an [integrated terminal](https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/integrated-terminal) and use the following command to install the WindUp CLI:

```shell
$ npm i -g @windup.app/windup
```

## New Project

Open a terminal, or from [Visual Studio Code](https://code.visualstudio.com) , open an [integrated terminal](https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/editor/integrated-terminal) and use the following command to setup a new WindUp project:

```shell
$ create-windup
```

Then you will be welcomed by multiple questions going through all of the options with WindUp CLI. (See example below)

```shell
$ create-windup
