TMR, JTPA, FEA, ASI, ANVISA, CARP, BACI, IMC, FDA and USDA may adopt selected ASTM standards or guidelines and any reasonable variation to such adopted standards and guidelines should be approved by the ASTM Executive Committee. Since its first meeting in 1947, the committee has approved the food-packaging standard, SB1, and the medical-device standard, D3000.
