Loads stylesheets on demand with consistent callback support
This small module allows you to load CSS-resources asynchronously inside the browser on demand from JavaScript with consistent callbacks.
It works in all modern browsers as of March 2016. If you have some compatibility issues — please create an issue.
yarn add betsol-load-stylesheet
<script src="/node_modules/betsol-load-stylesheet/dist/betsol-load-stylesheet.js"></script>
You should use minified version (betsol-load-stylesheet.min.js
) in production.
Just call loadStylesheet()
global function with URL and an optional callback and options object:
var linkElement = window.loadStylesheet('/css/foo.css', function () {
alert('CSS file loaded!');
}, options);
The function will return a reference to the <link>
DOM element
for your convenience. You can track added links that way an remove them
if necessary in the future.
The third parameter is an optional options object. The following options are supported:
insertBefore
: This should be another element which is part of your HTML's head.
Please see the changelog for list of changes.
