N|Solid Quickstart

N|Solid preview

This is a CLI tool intended to be executed using NPX. It allows you to run a program using N|Solid automatically while connecting to your SaaS Console or a remote on-premise Console to monitor it. The tool will download and cache the N|Solid Runtime, It includes all the supported LTS versions and the user can pick which one they wish to run.

The basic syntax is:

  • To execute a JavaScript file directly:
$ npx nsolid-quickstart --saas <your saas token> --exec index.js
  • To execute an NPM task in a project:
$ npx nsolid-quickstart --saas <your saas token> --npm dev

Commands

  • help: print the command help
  • clean: remove all cached assets

Options

  • --demo: launch a demo application in the console
  • --file: use a local bundle in tar format, useful for RC releases
  • --lts: select the Node LTS version to run, it could be: hydrogen, iron or jodby default
  • --npm: specify the NPM task to execute an application to launch it
  • --exec: specify the JavaScript file to execute and launch an application
  • --remote: connect a local process to a remote console specifying the NSOLID_COMMAND value here
  • --saas: connect a local process to a console in the N|Solid SaaS infrastructure specifying the NSOLID_SAAS value here
  • --version: specify a fixed version of N|Solid to run
