Hi there
It is against npm's package name policy to squat on package names. However, the Parcel team is actively designing Parcel 2.0 which includes plans to use this package name.
Because we have squatters who are actively taking npm package names and scopes from us we needed to reserve this package name for ourselves. We apologize for having to break npm's rules. We wouldn't have if the situation were different.
If we end up not using this package name for whatever reason after the first few Parcel 2.0 releases, we will happily hand it over to whoever wants it.
Please contact "me [at] thejameskyle [dot] com" or "devongovett [at] gmail [dot] com" if you would like ownership over this package name.
