Before running Generate you need to set the version correctly.
Use openapi-generator-cli version-manager and ensure the version is set to 5.2.1 if it is set to 6.0.0 or later you will find that openapi generates the following INFO messages. When this happens the API's object types will be incorrect and instead of a Union of types you will have a merged UpsertTransactionRequest object.
