HLS Copy to S3

Script to download full HLS package and copy to an S3 bucket.

Download full HLS package (playlists and media chunks) and upload contents to an S3 bucket.

Requirements

• AWS S3 CLI
• NodeJS 18+

Installation / Usage

Options can be provided either as command line options or environment variables.

% npx @eyevinn/hls-copy-s3 \
  --dest-endpoint=<dest-endpoint> \
  --dest-access-key=<dest-access-key> \
  --dest-secret-key=<dest-secret-key> \
  https://lab.cdn.eyevinn.technology/osc/VINN-10/339bd6f7-5db1-4faf-9b95-eb5c90f017f5/index.m3u8 s3://test/files/

Using environment variables stored in a file called .env in this example:

DEST_ENDPOINT=<dest-endpoint>
DEST_ACCESS_KEY=<dest-access-key>
DEST_SECRET_KEY=<dest-secret-key>

% set -a ; source .env ; set +a
% npx @eyevinn/hls-copy-s3 https://lab.cdn.eyevinn.technology/osc/VINN-10/339bd6f7-5db1-4faf-9b95-eb5c90f017f5/index.m3u8 s3://test/files/

Development
