Preview and develop Prismic slices fast with minimal configuration.
npm install @prismicio/slice-simulator-vue
Then create a page for Slice Simulator:
<!-- e.g. ~/pages/slice-simulator.vue -->
<template>
<SliceSimulator #default="{ slices }">
<SliceZone :slices="slices" :components="components" />
</SliceSimulator>
</template>
<script>
import { SliceSimulator } from "@prismicio/slice-simulator-vue";
import { SliceZone } from "@prismicio/vue/components";
import components from "~~/slices/components";
export default {
components: {
SliceSimulator,
SliceZone
},
data() {
return { components };
}
};
</script>
| prop | type | description |
|---|---|---|
state | object | The libraries state. |
zIndex | number | The z-index of Slice Simulator, defaults to 100. |
background | string | The background color of Slice Simulator, defaults to #ffffff. |
Some versions of Webpack fails to resolve ESM modules correctly, to mitigate that, update the import to use CJS instead:
- import { SliceSimulator } from "@prismicio/slice-simulator-vue";
+ import { SliceSimulator } from "@prismicio/slice-simulator-vue/dist/index.cjs";
If you're using Nuxt, to just fix HMR issues, try first updating your config as stated there: https://github.com/nuxt/postcss8/issues/24
If you're still having trouble with HMR, you can try updating your Slice Simulator page as follow:
<!-- e.g. ~/pages/slice-simulator.vue -->
<template>
<SliceSimulator :state="state" #default="{ slices }">
<SliceZone :slices="slices" />
</SliceSimulator>
</template>
<script>
import { SliceSimulator } from "@prismicio/slice-simulator-vue";
import { SliceZone } from "@prismicio/vue/components";
import state from "~~/.slicemachine/libraries-state.json";
import components from "~~/slices/components";
export default {
components: {
SliceSimulator,
SliceZone
},
data() {
return { state, components };
},
// If using Webpack, add the following mounted hook for HMR full support:
mounted() {
if (module.hot) {
// Path should be the same as your libraries state import
module.hot.accept("~~/.slicemachine/libraries-state.json", () => {
this.state = state;
});
}
}
};
</script>
