npm version

An @autobind decorator for TypeScript that is created to "do one thing and do it well".

This is an experimental module while the ES/TypeScript decorators are experimental.

Synopsis

import { autobind } from "@typed-decorators/autobind";

class Foo {
  @autobind method() {
    // here `this` is the context even if it is refered as a property
    console.log(this);
  }
}

const foo = new Foo();
const boundMethod = foo.method; // same as foo.method.bind(foo)
boundMethod(); // displays foo

Install

npm install --save '@typed-decorators/autobind'

https://www.npmjs.com/package/@typed-decorators/autobind

Caveats

Decorators in TypeScript (as of v2.8) are experimental as http://www.typescriptlang.org/docs/handbook/decorators.html describes.

Any specification may change without warnings.
