# ele &mdash; a DOM-driven MVC framework

`ele` is a DOM-centric JavaScript application framework. Much like [jQuery][jquery] plugins,
you interact with the framework by annotating DOM elements&mdash;though sometimes including
elements that don't exist yet! (If you're familiar with the visualization toolkit [d3.js][d3],
you'll find `ele` draws from many of the same concepts.)
