This is an n8n community node for Aruba Central API integration. It provides comprehensive access to Aruba Central's monitoring, configuration, and management capabilities for network infrastructure.

Aruba Central is a cloud-native network management platform that simplifies operations across campus, branch, and data center environments.

Operations

This node provides access to all major Aruba Central API domains:

Monitoring

• Access Points: Monitor AP status, performance, clients, bandwidth usage
• Clients: Track client connections, usage patterns, mobility
• Gateways: Monitor gateway performance, tunnels, ports, usage
• Switches: Monitor switch performance, ports, VLANs, PoE information
• Networks: Monitor network-wide statistics and bandwidth usage
• Events: Access system events and alerts
• Labels: Manage device labeling and categorization
• Sites: Monitor site-level statistics and performance

Configuration

• Access Points: Configure AP settings, CLI commands, SSIDs, hostnames
• Devices: Manage device groups, move devices between groups

Inventory

• Device Management: Add, remove, archive devices, verify device status

Firmware Management

• Device Firmware: Check versions, upgrade firmware, manage compliance
• Swarm Management: Monitor and manage AP swarms
• Status Tracking: Track firmware upgrade progress and status

AI Operations (AIOps)

• Connectivity Insights: Monitor global, group, and site connectivity
• Performance Insights: Track AP, client, gateway, network, site, and switch insights
• Anomaly Detection: Access detailed insight information and recommendations

Topology

• Network Topology: Discover network topology, device relationships, VLANs
• Device Connections: Monitor device connections, uplinks, tunnels

Key Management

• Security Operations: Manage WPA keys, roaming cache, client roam history

Troubleshooting

• Command Execution: Run troubleshooting commands on devices

RAPIDS (Rogue AP Detection)

• Rogue Detection: Monitor rogue and interfering access points

Authentication

This node uses OAuth2 authentication with Aruba Central. You'll need:

• An Aruba Central account with API access
• OAuth2 application credentials (Client ID and Client Secret)
• Appropriate API permissions for the operations you want to use

Setting up Authentication

• Log into your Aruba Central dashboard
• Navigate to Platform Integration > API Gateway
• Create a new application or use an existing one
• Note the Client ID and Client Secret
• Configure the OAuth2 credentials in n8n with these values

Compatibility

• Requires n8n version 1.0.0 or later
• Compatible with Aruba Central API v2
• Supports both cloud and on-premises Aruba Central deployments
