ReactJS + Sails + Redis

Sails and React.js are fast becoming popular alternates for node.js and Angular.js. RSR is a start application that integrates React with Sails. As an added bonus, Redis is configured as the primary database. This starter app is designed to provide a quick and organized way to start developing RSR based web apps with some pre-defined useful modules such as Passport pre-bundled and configured which helps in authentication, etc.

Why RSR framework?

RSR framework is use to building a applications with data that changes over time and provides data-driven APIs with a scalable, service-oriented architecture and highly scalable data store shared by multiple processes, multiple applications, or multiple servers.

Prerequisite Technologies

Linux

1. Install NodeJS

Download and Install Node.js, nodeschool has free node tutorials to get you started.

$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup | sudo bash -
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install nodejs
2. Install Sails
$ sudo npm -g install sails

For more detail: SailsJS

3. Install Redis server

Redis Server

3. Install Bower
$ sudo npm install -g bower

For more detail: Bower

4. Install Git
$ sudo apt-get install git

Get git using a package manager or download it.

Run Instructions

$ sudo npm install
$ bower install
$ sails lift

Your app should now be running on localhost:1337.
