What's new at Socket?

API tokens now support a wildcard * scope that grants access to all current and future scopes. Selecting “All scopes” in the token UI no longer snapshots the scopes available at creation time. Instead, tokens configured this way automatically inherit newly added scopes going forward. This makes it easier to manage broad access where appropriate, but should be used with caution.

Selecting "Select all scopes" will hide the rest of the options.

The same token is stored as [*].

Tokens with scopes then have all scopes unchecked will be stored as [].

Tokens with scopes then have "select all scopes" checked will be stored as [*], all new future scopes will be granted.

Tokens with all specific scopes checked will be stored as an array of the individual scope. So future new scopes will not be granted.
