X Profile Media Downloader

This is a Firefox extension for downloading permitted media from an X user's media tab using your already logged-in Firefox session.

Notes:

• Downloads save under Firefox's configured Downloads folder.
• The "Download subfolder" field is relative to Firefox's Downloads folder, for example "x downloads". Leave it blank to save as "Downloads/<handle>/photos", "Downloads/<handle>/videos", and "Downloads/<handle>/gifs".
• Photos are converted to ".jpg".
• X animated GIFs usually save as ".mp4" in the "gifs" folder.
• When the popup opens on an X profile/status/media page, the username field autofills with that handle.
• Starting a download opens a small persistent extension window so progress remains visible when you click elsewhere or switch tabs.
• Leave the username/media URL blank to reuse the current tab when it is already on "x.com/<name>/media". The extension reloads that same tab once so its invisible timeline listener starts before X loads the first media batch. If you enter a username or URL, the extension opens a new media tab.
• Scrolling is intentionally smooth, with about 8 extra checks after media stops appearing.
• Finite ranges such as "-10", "10", and "1-100" apply to each selected media type after carousel media is expanded. For example, "-4" with Photos checked downloads exactly the first four photos, even if they span carousel posts.
• The extension can close a media tab only if it opened that tab. If it uses your existing current tab, it leaves that tab open.
