@sinlair/reagent-openclaw

OpenClaw-native research product package for ReAgent.

This package should be treated as the main product surface for ReAgent on top of OpenClaw, not only as a reference plugin.

Current first-phase capabilities:

  • brief-driven research workflow surfaces
  • conversation-scoped and workspace-scoped memory
  • v3 recall across conversation memory, workspace memory, and durable artifacts
  • manage research directions
  • run paper discovery
  • record feedback
  • suggest baselines
  • ingest article links
  • analyze papers
  • analyze repositories
  • extract reusable modules
  • run novelty checks
  • generate direction reports
  • generate meeting decks
  • inspect recent discovery runs
  • query plugin status
  • expose a machine-readable product profile

Memory Scopes

The plugin exposes two durable memory scopes:

  • workspace: shared research memory for the whole plugin workspace
  • conversation: isolated memory keyed by one OpenClaw sender / peer

The slash commands default to conversation-scoped memory, which lines up with OpenClaw's per-peer context isolation. Tool calls can choose either scope by passing scope: "workspace" or scope: "conversation". When using conversation-scoped tools, pass a stable scopeKey such as a sender id.

/reagent-memory and reagent_memory_search now run a v3-style recall pass:

  • conversation scope first when available
  • shared workspace memory next
  • durable artifacts such as briefs, direction reports, and presentations last

Older daily memory can also be compacted into a long-term summary note. The compaction flow marks old indexed entries as folded so recall prefers the summary entry instead of replaying stale fragments.

Product Shape

ReAgent on OpenClaw is meant to package these surfaces clearly:

  • memory
  • discovery
  • analysis
  • reports
  • delivery

Its design principles are:

  • brief-first research
  • evidence-backed outputs
  • file-backed memory
  • artifact-oriented workflow
  • visible long-running work
  • OpenClaw-native lifecycle

The capability layout is exposed as:

  • a user-facing command: /reagent-surfaces
  • a machine-readable tool: reagent_capability_catalog
