On a self-hosted Activepieces (or a platform you administer), open Settings → My Pieces → Install Piece (on platforms: Platform Admin → Pieces → Install Piece), choose npm, and enter:

Create an API key at app.podpdf.com → Settings → API Keys, then add a PodPDF connection and paste it into API Key. The connection is checked with GET /me.
PodPDF costs $0.01 per PDF and has no free plan: buy a plan or credit pack before calls succeed.

| Generate PDF | POST /quickjob. HTML, Markdown or a public HTTPS URL to a PDF (up to 25 pages / 30 s). Returns job_id, pages, download_url and, with Attach PDF File on (default), a file that later steps can use. |
| Render Template | POST /templates/{template_id}/render. Fills a saved template with a JSON Data object. Optional Filename. Returns the JSON plus a file. |
| Start Long Job | POST /longjob. HTML or Markdown up to 100 pages, queued. With Wait for Completion it polls every 5 s for up to 3 minutes and returns the download link and the PDF file. |
| Get Job | GET /jobs/{job_id}. Status: queued, processing, completed, partial_failed, failed, timeout. |
| Get Download Link | GET /jobs/{job_id}/download. A fresh signed URL (valid 1 hour). |
| Custom API Call | Any other PodPDF endpoint, with the X-API-Key header added for you. |
Page options for Generate PDF and Start Long Job: Format (A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5, Tabloid), Landscape, Margin (one value such as 20mm for all sides), Print Background, Scale (0.1–2), Page Ranges (e.g. 1-3, 5). Only the options you set are sent.
API errors are shown with their code and message, e.g. PodPDF 403 INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS: …. A 408 QUICKJOB_TIMEOUT means the document is too big for Generate PDF, so use Start Long Job.
