roblox is an online game platform and game creation system developed by roblox corporation that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. roblox is free to play, with in-game purchases available through a virtual currency called robux. as of august 2020, roblox had over 164 million monthly active users, including more than half of all american children under 16. although roblox has received generally positive reviews from critics, it has faced criticism for its moderation, microtransactions, and exploitative practices directed toward children.


the purpose of this line is to share some of the insights gathered when conducting the research for the brief. the bit about research findings being wrong is obviously true, but only in the absence of experiments. conducting experiments is simply not affordable or possible in most cases, especially not in the long run. rather, knowing the usual suspects of possible mistakes about researching provides some insights that one can expect to stumble over. the purpose of this section is to teach readers what research design is and how to properly use the results of your own research. to illustrate this, we will walk through a scientific study of a potential solution to urban air pollution. the following is a section in which i discuss scientific methods in a bit more detail. after that, i’ll explain some of the steps that went into my study, and how i went about executing the research. i will then talk a bit about what my results are. finally, i will conclude with some pointers for how readers can conduct their own research. 84d34552a1
