q = require('quote-unquote')

q.quote (string)

foo's bar => "foo's bar" "foo's bar" => "\"foo's bar\"" "\"foo's bar\"" => "\"\\\"foo's bar\\\"\""

etc

q.unquote(quoted_string)

the reverse of the above.

"foo's bar" => foo's bar "\"foo's bar\"" => "foo's bar" "\"\\\"foo's bar\\\"\"" => "\"foo's bar\""
