Quasar RAT Disguised as an npm Package for Detecting Vulnerabilities in Ethereum Smart Contracts
Socket researchers uncover a malicious npm package posing as a tool for detecting vulnerabilities in Etherium smart contracts.
Seep provides user interface controls for your Node.js web applications. The UI logic runs in the server, but you can expose parts of it by "seeping" some of the logic to the client (browser) as well.
Note: purely experimental at this point, not recommended for anything serious
Install node.js (http://nodejs.org)
Install npm (only if you're using Node.js version 0.6.2 or lower, v.0.6.3 has npm bundled)
$ curl http://npmjs.org/install.sh | sh
Install seep
$ npm install seep
First create a new application file:
my-app.js
var seep = require("seep")
exports.app = seep.Application.extend({
start: function() {
this.add(new seep.Text("Hello World!"))
}
})
In the command line, if you installed seep globally (with npm install -g seep)
$ seep start my-app.js
or for a local installation
$ node_modules/.bin/seep start my-app.js
Then point your browser to http://localhost:8000/my-app
