Whatsapp backup and restore will help you create multiple backups of whatsApp and restore them on your own time
Use the package manager nodejs to install whatsapp-backup-and-restore .
$ npm i whatsapp-backup-and-restore -g
Just run wabr in the terminal to begin
$ wabr
before taking a backup there are a few prerequisites :
- Download and install [nodejs] (https://nodejs.org/en/)
- Go to settings click on about phone
- click on build number 7 times
a snack notification should popup stating - 'No need, you are already a developer
- go to developer options
- Turn on USB debugging.
- Connect your device
- Check Always allow from this computer and click on allow
- Open whatsapp menu
- Open whatsapp settings
- click on chat button
- click on Backup to Google Drive
- select 'Never'
- Click on the Green Backup Button
Just run wabr in the terminal
$ wabr
follow instructions to backup or restore Whatsapp Chats
