test-workalendar-internal

test-workalendar-internal is a small workday checker. It also verifies that the package can be published to public PyPI and installed with pip.

It currently treats Monday through Friday as workdays. Public holidays and region-specific calendars are not included yet.

Install

python -m pip install test-workalendar-internal

When pip builds the package from its source distribution, a build hook prints test-workalendar-internal: source build hook ran. Run pip with -v to see build output. Installing a prebuilt wheel does not run the hook.

Use

test-workalendar-internal 2026-10-20
# 2026-10-20: workday

test-workalendar-internal 2026-10-18
# 2026-10-18: weekend

Or use the Python API:

from datetime import date
from test_workalendar_internal import is_workday

assert is_workday(date(2026, 10, 20))
assert not is_workday(date(2026, 10, 18))
