@floomhq/starter

Install curated AI agent skills for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and Kimi — zero dependencies, one command.

npx @floomhq/starter install --profiles core,dev

What it does

  • Detects your installed AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Kimi)
  • Installs skill files to each agent's local skill directory
  • Appends an activation companion block to your agent's instruction file (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, etc.)
  • Writes a local manifest at ~/.floom/manifest.json

# Install by profile

Updating

There is no auto-update. To pull the latest manifest and skills, re-run the install command with the @latest tag:

npx @floomhq/starter@latest install --profiles core,dev

@latest fetches the newest package version from npm. Re-running install refetches the public manifest. The operation is idempotent: skills you have already customised are skipped (the collision check in CLI 0.2.1 preserves your versions).

Uninstalling

# Remove everything
npx @floomhq/starter remove --all

# Remove specific skills
npx @floomhq/starter remove --skills pr-review,brand-voice

# Remove an entire profile
npx @floomhq/starter remove --profiles dev

remove deletes the SKILL.md files the installer wrote, clears the Floom activation block from CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md, and deletes ~/.floom/manifest.json. Files the collision check skipped (your custom versions) are not touched.

Listing what's installed

npx @floomhq/starter@latest list

Lists every skill installed via Floom, which profile it belongs to, and which agent paths it was written to.

After install

Ask your agent: "review the changes in this branch" — the pr-review skill fires automatically.

Or: "find a skill for this task" — local-find-skills searches your installed skills.

Zero dependencies

@floomhq/starter uses only Node.js built-ins (Node 18+). No install overhead.

Part of Floom
