Configuration

Environment Variables

Set the OpenHands base URL:

export JURICODE_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000

For websocket connections (if different from base URL):

export JURICODE_WS_URL=http://localhost:3000

Set connection timeout (default: 10000ms):

export JURICODE_TIMEOUT=15000

Troubleshooting WebSocket Issues

If you encounter websocket connection errors when using chat functionality:

  • Check OpenHands Backend: Ensure OpenHands backend is running and accessible
  • Verify URL: Make sure JURICODE_BASE_URL points to the correct OpenHands instance
  • Network Issues: Check if there are firewall or proxy issues blocking websocket connections
  • Port Forwarding: If using SSH tunnels, ensure websocket ports are properly forwarded

Example with SSH tunnel:

# Forward both HTTP and WebSocket ports
ssh -L 3000:localhost:3000 user@remote-host

# Then run juricode
export JURICODE_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
juricode

Configuration Examples

For local development:

export JURICODE_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
juricode

For remote OpenHands with SSH tunnel:

ssh -L 3000:localhost:3000 user@remote-host
export JURICODE_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
juricode
