boostmyagent
Public installer for Boost OS.
npx boostmyagent@latest install
That single command:
- Downloads the latest Boost OS release.
- Writes
./AGENTS.md so any agent that respects the AGENTS.md convention can pick up the kernel.
- Installs each shipped slash skill as
./.agents/skills/<skill>/SKILL.md by default, or ./.claude/skills/<skill>/SKILL.md when Claude project signals are detected or --target claude is provided.
- Creates
./.agents/memory/project.md so future sessions start with project context.
- Pre-stubs
./.agents/references/<subsystem>.md files when subsystems are detected, ready for /remember to fill in.
- Prompts for the purchase email and license key when no saved CLI session exists.
After install, type /os in your agent chat to see the menu.
Other commands
npx boostmyagent@latest install --target auto
npx boostmyagent@latest install --target claude
npx boostmyagent@latest install --target agents
npx boostmyagent@latest update
npx boostmyagent@latest uninstall
npx boostmyagent@latest uninstall --logout
npx boostmyagent@latest status
npx boostmyagent@latest logout
The CLI also exposes two power-user subcommands that back the slash skills. Invoke them via npx -y boostmyagent ... because the binary is not on $PATH:
npx -y boostmyagent reference <slug>
npx -y boostmyagent reference append <slug> "<note>"
npx -y boostmyagent reference forget <slug>
npx -y boostmyagent reference list
npx -y boostmyagent memory set <field> <value> [--source <where>]
Conventions
- Installs are always project-local.
--target auto uses .agents/skills/ as the portable default and chooses .claude/skills/ only when Claude project signals exist without existing .agents signals.
- Claude Code's slash picker reads
.claude/skills/. If /os does not appear
in Claude after a default install, rerun npx boostmyagent@latest install --target claude from that project and start a new Claude Code session.
- Existing project files are preserved. If
AGENTS.md or a skill folder already exists and was not previously installed by this CLI, it is left alone with a warning.
- Existing project memory is preserved. Initial memory is created only when the memory files are missing.
- Uninstall removes Boost OS managed files, project memory, references, and empty install folders. User-created skills are left alone if present. It keeps the saved license session so installs in other projects do not ask again. Use
--keep-memory to preserve memory and references, or --logout to clear the saved license session too.
- The CLI downloads paid Boost OS releases from boostmyagent.com after license
verification. The public npm package contains the installer and local helper
commands, not the gated release ZIP.
