ClearList

ClearList is an AI resale manager. Photograph what you are selling and it writes the listing, prices it, and publishes one shareable page. Buyers reserve items, queue up behind each other, and book their own pickup slots, so nobody has to ask "is this still available?" or negotiate a Saturday over text.

This package ships two things:

clearlist, a command line tool for scripting seller actions against the REST API.
clearlist-mcp-server, a Model Context Protocol server so Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP client can run a sale end to end.

This is the unscoped alias of @clearlist/mcp-server. Both packages are published from the same source at the same version. Install whichever name you prefer.

Install

npm install -g clearlist

CLI

Authentication is passwordless. You get a six digit code by email, and the CLI stores the resulting API key in ~/.clearlist/config.json. Every command prints JSON, so output pipes cleanly into scripts.

MCP server

Remote endpoint (no install)

Most hosts can connect straight to the hosted endpoint. Sign-in happens in your browser.

In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then add a custom connector with that URL. This works on the free plan.

ChatGPT cannot do this on a personal account. As of August 2026 custom connectors are a Business and Enterprise/Edu feature that a workspace admin enables, on the web only, so Plus and Pro have no way to add one. Consumer access is coming via the ChatGPT Plugin Directory, where our listing is in progress. Until then, use the local stdio path below, which works with Codex and any other MCP client that runs a local server.

CLEARLIST_API_KEY is optional. Without it, an agent can create the account and obtain a key at runtime through the email verification tools, which means someone can run an entire sale without ever opening clearlist.me.

Tools

20 usable tools covering listing creation (single and bulk), page publishing, reservations, buyer messaging, pickup scheduling, cross posting, and payment links. Three discovery tools are registered as stubs pending a future release.

The MCP server is a thin protocol adapter over the same REST routes the web UI calls, with one deliberate exception. It cannot share your pickup address, and there is no flag that makes it possible. Disclosing where you live is a physical-safety decision, so it stays an action only you can take, from your own inbox, behind a confirmation dialog.
