deep-hash
deep-hash calculates nested hashes.
Installation
$ npm install deep-hash
Quick start
First you need to add a reference to deep-hash to your application:
const deepHash = require('deep-hash');
Then call deepHash
and provide a value you want to hash. Beside the primitive data types also objects and arrays are supported:
const hash = deepHash({
name: 'the native web',
founded: 2012
});
Please note that deep-hash uses SHA256 as hash algorithm.
Optionally, you may specify a secret to "salt" the hashes:
const hash = deepHash({
name: 'the native web',
founded: 2012
}, 'secret');
