Why

Every x402 client needs a server somewhere. The other side of agent commerce is an agent whose tools and knowledge charge per call - your expertise running while you sleep.

What it does

• Per-tool pricing: this lookup costs 0.01 USDC, that analysis 0.50 - prices as versioned files
• Metered access: free tier, per-call, or subscription rules per caller
• 402-gated endpoints served from your dsh install - the agent becomes the product
• Revenue ledger: earnings, refunds, and per-caller history, exportable

How it fits dsh

Server-side twin of dsh-x402: same protocol, opposite direction. Runs on the host side of the harness; nothing about your prompt or persona leaks into the paid surface.

Design principles

• Price the tool, never the conversation
• Refund is a first-class action, not an apology
• The seller sees exactly what the buyer paid for - symmetrical receipts

Status

Name reserved, spec locked. Roadmap: 0.1 per-tool pricing + 402 gate -> 0.2 metering rules -> 0.3 earnings ledger + refunds. The first release lands when the 0.1 scope above is fully implemented and tested - not before.
