DIT.ai for DeepSeek Harness

Use production-routed models from DIT.ai in DeepSeek Harness. This profile bundle adds DIT as a native model provider while keeping the stock Harness runtime and tools unchanged.

Install

DeepSeek Harness requires Node.js 22.19 or newer and pnpm.

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-plugin-dit

Set the DIT API key, then start Harness:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web

Open Settings → Models, then choose a model and protocol:

• DIT.ai: recommended default using OpenAI Chat Completions (/v1/chat/completions)
• DIT.ai Messages: Anthropic Messages (/v1/messages)

Both providers expose the production-verified claude-sonnet-4-6 and claude-opus-4-6 models and share the same DIT_API_KEY.

For headless runs:

Use DIT.ai for OpenAI-compatible clients. Use DIT.ai Messages for Anthropic content blocks, tool use, native Messages streaming events, and thinking budgets.

• Anthropic Messages base URL: https://api.dit.ai (Harness appends /v1/messages)
• Credential reference: DIT_API_KEY
• Attribution header: X-DIT-Integration: deepseek-harness
• Models: claude-sonnet-4-6, claude-opus-4-6
• Native Messages thinking with Off, High, and Max levels

The API key is resolved by Harness at request time and is never embedded in the plugin.

Local development

From this directory:

pnpm smoke:harness runs the official Harness headless agent against local /v1/chat/completions and /v1/messages mocks. It verifies attribution, both authentication header styles, models, stream events, and thinking parameters without spending API credit.

Uninstall

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-plugin-dit
