Compile Fest templates.

Getting Started

This plugin requires Grunt ~0.4.0

If you haven't used Grunt before, be sure to check out the Getting Started guide, as it explains how to create a Gruntfile as well as install and use Grunt plugins. Once you're familiar with that process, you may install this plugin with this command:

npm install grunt-fest --save-dev

One the plugin has been installed, it may be enabled inside your Gruntfile with this line of JavaScript:

grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-fest-next');

The "fest" task

Overview

In your project's Gruntfile, add a section named fest to the data object passed into grunt.initConfig().

    fest: {

Options

options.require

Type: String Default value: fest

Path to require Fest library.

options.compile

Type: Object Default value: undefined

Fest’s compile() options.

options.ext

Type: String Default value: .js

Compiled file’s extension.

options.name

Type: String Default value: undefined

Compiled function’s name. The basename of the source file will be used if is set to True.

options.template

Type: Function Default value: undefined

This function is called when template will be compiled. It takes an argument as an object with the following properties:

  • src — path to the template
  • relSrc — relative path to the template
  • dest — path to the compiled file
  • name — template’s name (relative to the source directory and w/o the extension)
  • basename — template’s basename
  • contents — compiled template

Contributing

In lieu of a formal styleguide, take care to maintain the existing coding style. Add unit tests for any new or changed functionality. Lint and test your code using Grunt. Before pull-request to dev branch do rebase.
