Installation

You can easily install cmd tool to your computer by typing this command

pip install rss-reader-elly==3.0.0

Usage

Note: This cmd tool is only parsing rss feed from https://realpython.com/atom.xml

usage: rss_reader [--help] [--version] [--json] [--verbose] [--limit LIMIT]
                    [--dates DATE] [--to-pdf PATH] [--to-html PATH]
                     source

Pure Python command-line RSS reader.

positional arguments:
  source         RSS URL

optional arguments:
  -h, --help          show this help message and exit
  --version           Print version info
  --json              Print result as JSON in stdout
  --verbose           Outputs verbose status messages
  --limit LIMIT       Limit news topics if this parameter provided
  --dates DATES       Filters rss feed with specified date
  --to-pdf PATH       Saves rss feed into specified folder in pdf
  --to-html PATH      Saves rss feed into specified folder in html

Example

rss_reader https://realpython.com/atom.xml --limit 3

Will give you output something like this:
