gem install virtus-extras

gem 'virtus-extras'

require 'active_model'
require 'active_support'
class UserEntry
  include Virtus.model

  extend ActiveModel::Naming
  include ActiveModel::Conversion

  attribute :first_name, String
  attribute :last_name, String
  attribute :display_name, String
  attribute :is_active, Integer
  attribute :hidden, Integer, :write => :private

  form_attributes :first_name,
                  :last_name,
                  :display_name,
                  :model => String

  form_attributes :is_active,
                  :model => Integer

  form_attributes :hidden,
                  :model => Integer,
                  :writer => :private
end
