Capable Client

Node/Typescript client to access Capable Health APIs. Generated from the published openapi spec.

Libraries Used

  • simple-oauth2
  • openapi-typescript-codegen
  • Axios

Usage

  const creds = {
    client: {
      id: <your client id>,
      secret: <your client secret>
    },
    auth: {
      tokenHost: <sandbox or prod path>,
      tokenPath: 'oauth2/token'
    }
  };

  const tokenSource = new CapableRefreshableToken(creds);
  const capableClient = new CapableClient({TOKEN: () => tokenSource.getAccessToken()});
  const result = await capableClient.patients.getPatients();

  console.log(result);

Keep the CapableRefreshableToken around for the lifecycle of the application - it will handle automatically regenerating the machine token for you.

Regenerating

If the spec is updated,

  1. Copy the new spec to spec.json
  2. Run the following in the root of the project
npx openapi --input ./spec.json --output ./generated --client axios --postfix Client --name CapableClient
  1. npx tsc, commit, publish
