L.esri.geosearch using custom <input>
This plugin demonstrates how to create a custom plugin which wires address search (and autocomplete) to your own html <input>
. Because I am no designer, i've used Bootstrap as a crutch.
Example
Take a look at the live demo.
<input id="address-search"/>
var search = L.esri.BootstrapGeocoder.search({
inputTag: 'address-search',
placeholder: 'ex. LAX'
}).addTo(map);
API Reference
L.esri.BoostrapGeocoder.search
Supports all the constructor options of L.esri.Geocoding.geosearch
.
Also expects an inputTag
.
Development Instructions
- Fork and clone this repo
cd
into the bootstrap-geocoder
folder and install the dependencies with npm install
- Run
npm start
from the command line. This will compile minified source in the built
directory, launch a tiny webserver and begin watching the raw source for changes. - The
index.html
example should 'just work' - Make your changes and create a pull request
