This module contains the native implementation of Node.js path.extname method adapted to get complete extension names.

Example

  var path = require('path');
  var pathCompleteExtname = require('path-complete-extname');

  var filename = 'myfile.tar.gz';

  path.extname(filename); // .gz
  pathCompleteExtname(filename); // .tar.gz
