Getting started

$ yarn add react-native-dmo-analytics

Mostly automatic installation

$ react-native link react-native-dmo-analytics

You will be prompted for the apiKey and apiSecret you should already have.

Additional configuration

Android

You will need the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission. Check your AndroidManifest.xml and add the following line if is not there.

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" />

Manual installation

NOT RECOMMENDED! Use the react-native link way instead.

iOS
  1. In XCode, in the project navigator, right click LibrariesAdd Files to [your project's name]
  2. Go to node_modulesreact-native-dmo-analytics and add RNDMOAnalytics.xcodeproj
  3. In XCode, in the project navigator, select your project. Add libRNDMOAnalytics.a to your project's Build PhasesLink Binary With Libraries
  4. Run your project (Cmd+R)<
Android
  1. Open up android/app/src/main/java/[...]/MainActivity.java
  • Add import io.underscope.rndmoanalytics.RNDMOAnalyticsPackage; to the imports at the top of the file
  • Add new RNDMOAnalyticsPackage() to the list returned by the getPackages() method
  1. Append the following lines to android/settings.gradle:
    include ':react-native-dmo-analytics'
    project(':react-native-dmo-analytics').projectDir = new File(rootProject.projectDir, 	'../node_modules/react-native-dmo-analytics/android')
    
  2. Insert the following lines inside the dependencies block in android/app/build.gradle:
      compile project(':react-native-dmo-analytics')
    

Usage

import DMOAnalytics from 'react-native-dmo-analytics';

DMOAnalytics.track('someEvent', { foo: 123, moreData: 'bar' });
DMOAnalytics.trackView('viewName', { foo: 'baz' });
