Github Analyzer CLI
This gem analyzes Google's Github org.
Installation
Install the gem globally:
gem install github_analyzer_cli
Or if you would rather try the gem locally:
- Clone this repo
- Run
bundle install
- You will have to invoke the CLI with
bundle exec exe/github_analyzer_cli
Usage

Get a Github access token here.

Example usage:
$ GITHUB_API_KEY=your_github_access_token github_analyzer_cli analyze
Most used languages: Python (555 repos), C++ (319 repos), Go (275 repos), Java (241 repos), JavaScript (224 repos)
Least used languages: KiCad Layout (1 repos), Elm (1 repos), Idris (1 repos), Eagle (1 repos), Puppet (1 repos)
Repos exported to repos.csv
You can also run github_analyzer_cli help
to see command line options.
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake spec
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
