motion-stump

Stubbing and mocking for RubyMotion. Based on Jeremy McAnally's stump library.

Features

Stubbing right on the object

MyClass.stub!(:thing, :return => "hey!") # => 'hey!'

your_object.stub!(:hello) # => nil

your_object.stub!(:thing) do |arg1, arg2|
 "Hello #{arg1},#{arg2}"
end
your_object.thing("1", "2") # => 'Hello 1,2'

your_object.stub!(:hello, :yield => ["1", "2"])
your_object.hello do |a, b| # yield with "1" and "2"
  puts "#{a}, #{b}"
end
Resetting Stubs
Dog.stub!(:kind, return: 'Reptile')
Dog.reset(:kind)

@dog.stub!(:bark, return: 'Meow!')
@dog.reset(:bark)

Pure stub objects

my_stub = stub(:thing, :return => "dude, a thing!")
my_stub.thing   # => "dude, a thing!"

Mocking right on the object

my_object = "things are fun"
my_object.mock!(:fancy, :return => "ooo fancy!")
my_object.fancy # => "ooo fancy!"
my_object.mock!(:fancy, :return => "ooo fancy!")

# if my_object.tancy is not called, it will fail the spec

Pure mock objects

my_mock = mock(:hello, :return => "what fun is this?")
my_mock.hello   # => "what fun is this?"
