A library to summarize MySQL slow_log records in Ruby.
Usage
Summarize and print result.
logs = SlowLog.all
summary = MysqlDumpSlow.summarize(logs)
summary.each do |conter|
counter.to_mysqldumpslow
end
Use total/average getter
counter.total_query_time
counter.average_query_time
- total_count
- [ total | average ]_query_time
- [ total | average ]_lock_time
- [ total | average ]_rows_set
- user_hosts
ActiveRecord
MysqlDumpSlow.summarize require ActiveRecord for mysql.slow_log table.
An example is the following.

establish_connection new_connection_info

Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'mysql_dump_slow'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install mysql_dump_slow
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake test
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
