Create KendoReact App

The create-kendoreact-app tool is a thin wrapper around create-react-app. It provides a setup wizard that helps developers create a new React application with KendoReact components.

KendoReact is a professional UI library on a mission to help developers design and build business apps with React much faster. KendoReact’s 100+ customizable and feature-rich components and advanced functionality are built from the ground up for React and are fully accessible.create-kendoreact-app is a tool which makes starting a KendoReact project much easier because it removes the need to perform the manual process of copying the npm install commands from the KendoReact documentation.

Create KendoReact App will create an application that can use any of the KendoReact UI components demonstrated in our docs and demos without additional configuration.

The following code snippet shows how to start building a new app with the Create KendoReact App tool:

npx create-kendoreact-app

The create-kendoreact-app tool accepts the same options as create-react-app and adds the following arguments as additional options:

• --theme
• --typescript
• --sass

If no arguments are provided, the create-kendoreact-app tool will pause and ask questions related to which theme should be used, whether or not the developer wants to use TypeScript or plain JavaScript, as well as if developers prefer to use CSS or Sass.

You can also skip the create-kendoreact-app wizard and set the options listed above as arguments, for example:

npx create-kendoreact-app my-kendoreact-app --typescript --sass --theme=material
