This block generates a simple React Native mobile app using create-react-native-app v1.0.0
as a boilerplate that we modify.
Add the following to your gig.yaml
to create a new block called mobile
using block-create-react-native-app
. Make sure to replace VERSION
with the specific version of the module. The latest version can be found here.
blocks:
- name: mobile
location: 'npm:@gigster/block-create-react-native-app@VERSION'
After generating your project, you can cd
into the new mobile
directory. To launch the packager, simply run:
yarn install
yarn start
From there you will have options to run your app on a mobile device or emulator.
Note: The packager may request that you either install watchman or increase your file limits with the following commands:
sudo sysctl -w kern.maxfiles=5242880
sudo sysctl -w kern.maxfilesperproc=524288
You must do one of these to get your app up and running.
